RED

Sometimes you want a splash of red for a pop of color.  Instead of bringing the hue into the room with a rug or a piece of artwork, why not try the Shuoji end table from Moe's?  We love its simple, Chinese influenced shape and great price at only $249.99.  It would look incredible next to a black leather chair.  It is also available to order in black, white, and teal.

Cool Lighting

Are you looking to add a cool sconce to your home, but do not want it to look like you purchased it at a big hardware store?  Then check out this one from Nova Lighting.  You'll love its sexy profile.  The various lengths of beaded chain create a melting ice effect.  How can something so cold be so hot?  See the matching sconce in person at Below Zero Lounge.

Green candles

We have some great new candles at the store.  The GO GREEN candles are 100% recycled wax in 100% recycled glass containeres.   There are two different fragrances.  Bamboo is a "sophisticated blend of green tea, lime and bamboo notes with a rich wood base".  Fresh is "a clean and inviting scent with a combination of light fruit notes wrapped with floral and amber".   Stop by and check them out.

Cincinnati Magazine March 2009

Check out the new article in Cincinnati Magazine on pages 40-41.  It is about the shops in Gateway Quarter on Vine Street between Central Parkway and 13th.  Make sure you pick up a copy and read about our great neighbors.

A big thanks to Joy Kraft and Cincinnati Magazine for a nice write up of our community.

"Red oak floors and loads of natural light made the recent move to this space a no-brainer.  It's a natural spot for the mix of classic modern, casual contemporary, and cozy transitional pieces. Owner Fred Arrowood added to his inventory: Palliser leather sofas and chairs, a line of custom 16-inch slipcovered pillows from North Carolina . . . and custom Best Chairs that are at your door from Indiana in 30 days.  Plus loads of lighting, accessories, gifts, artwork, and mirors."

One Year Anniversary/Final Friday Pics

We celebrated our one year anniversary and the opening of our current location on Vine Street on January 30, 2009. It was nice having a party with our good friends and meeting new people. Cuisine East West made the chicken satay, caprese skewers and the amazing salted fingerling poatatoes. I made the guac, lox hors d'ouevres, pecan bars, chocolate cupcakes and the jam thumbprint cookies. And our good friend Joe created a video for the event.

You can find more pics on our Facebook page.
